Former Denver Deputy Chief will not be punished for failing to turn over letter
DENVER -- The Denver Police Department on Monday announced that Deputy Chief Matt Murray - currently a lieutenant - did not mishandle public records, an accusation that was levied against him by former District Attorney Mitch Morrissey in 2016. “After reviewing Lieutenant Murray’s case and considering the totality of the circumstances, including evidence presented at his pre-disciplinary meeting, I have concluded that a department policy violation was not sustained,” said Chief Paul Pazen.
