Mental Evaluation Results of Man Suspected of Killing Newman Corporal Ronil Singh Sealed Until April
MODESTO -- A Stanislaus County judge has decided to temporarily seal results from a competency hearing that would determine if the man suspected of killing Corporal Ronil Singh is fit to stand trial. Paulo Mendoza (also known as Gustavo Arriaga) was in court this morning as his attorney Stephen Foley asked for the results to be sealed. Last month, Foley told the judge he believe his client was “too incompetent” to stand trial but now says he longer doubts the competency. He's hoping to keep the results sealed. But it may be too late.
