South Lake Tahoe Residents Encouraged to Prepare for Winter Storm Warning
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE -- Officials are urging South Lake Tahoe residents to get ready ahead of the upcoming Winter Storm Warning. The weekend's storm will bring heavy snowfall and rain Friday night into Saturday and continue Sunday into Monday night. According to the National Weather Service, that means a total of around 2 to 4 feet of snow at lake level and 3 to 6 feet in areas above 7,000 feet. Wind gusts during the storm could also reach up to 100 mph over ridges and officials are concerned about potential flooding.
