Hundreds Protest Pastor Who Praised Orlando Killings
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Hundreds of protesters are chanting "love conquers hate" outside a Sacramento church where last week a pastor said during his sermon that he was upset more people weren't killed in the attack on a Florida gay nightclub that left 49 people dead. The Sacramento Bee reports that more than 500 demonstrators holding rainbow flags and signs that read "We are Orlando" and "Pride Over Prejudice" are standing outside the Verity Baptist church in Sacramento on Sunday to protest last week's sermon by pastor Roger Jimenez.
