Vandals Cause Thousands of Dollars in Damage at Placer Elementary School
LOOMIS -- After the long holiday weekend, staff at Placer Elementary School in Loomis came back to find their campus in shambles Tuesday. They found kicked-in doors, a broken fence and a busted vending machine. They said the classrooms toward the back of the school were even worse. "They actually took some computers and electronics, but those were actually recovered on the school grounds. They did about $10,000 worth of damages to the buildings and vending machines," Dena Irwin from the Placer County Sheriff's Office said.
