Nutrition, Family and Consumer Science
The main goal of the Nutrition, Family and Consumer Science Program is to improve consumer's and families' life and decision making abilities in nutrition and health. The program develops and implements applied research in food security, food safety, human nutrition, obesity and critical health issues of the Shasta, Tehama and Trinity Communites. The program also develops comprehensive education and training programs based in clientele needs and manages the UC CalFresh Nutrition Education Program.
