A cool App for meditation - THE SPA MAN
The Mindfulness App from itunes has been a real help at times when I need guidance in the process of slowing my thoughts and for meditating. I have written about the concept of Mindfulness Meditation here but what I find is that it can be hard to do it on your own. Meditation, guided by voice can really help and gives some structure to your mindfulness. There are some drawbacks with this. I wasn’t too keen on the woman’s voice or accent – although I did get used to it. I would have also preferred an option for a 10 minute meditation too. What’s good: You can set reminders at different times and days which sends you a message when it’s time to meditate You can choose if you want to sit for a shorter or longer period You can be guided by a voice or just sit in silence with bells ringing at different times You can do it anywhere at home or on public transport or even at work.
