My dream lamp moved in | that nordic feeling
In 2016 I added two new lamps to my home. Both of them was on my wish list for many years, so it was a long time coming. Let me introduce this beauty – the Mantis BS2, designed by German born and British educated sculptor Bernard Schottlander in 1951. This is one of the most beautiful lamps I have ever seen. It is a work of art as much as it is a lamp. And I have been fascinated with it for years. When I moved in to my apartment 3.5 years ago I went looking for the perfect lamp for the dining area. I looked at so many lamps and couldn’t seem to make up my mind. I kept coming back to the Mantis BS2 lamp, so it had to be the one. And I am so happy with it! Inspired by insects Movement is key in all that Schottlander created. He was an artist, an engineer as well as a handyman.
