Elon Musk: The World’s Greatest Tech Genius - Technology Crave
If you use PayPal, ever heard of the space program SpaceX, and wish you could drive one of those sleek electric Tesla Motors cars your neighbor just bought, then likely you’ve heard of Elon Musk – the entrepreneur and tech genius behind these and other world improving inventions. Born in South Africa, Elon – son of a successful engineer – started programming in his teens. He then moved to Canada to attend college, eventually landing himself in an applied physics PhD program at Stanford University. It was at Stanford where Elon got the idea to start his own company called Zip2 (a company that provided and licensed online city guide software), in which he was so eager to start, he dropped out of school, thus turning the aspiring physicist into a full-fledged entrepreneur. Not long after, Elon sold his company to Compaq – becoming a multimillionaire before the age of 30 – starting down the road to creating a number of the technologies we use today (like PayPal), or one’s we wish to afford (like the immensely popular Telsa). It appears we have the 2nd coming of Steve Jobs in Elon Musk. Let’s look more at all the things Elon has created to improve the world, but just as importantly, how he thinks about making the world a better place.
