January is usually the month where most ladies are trying to burnt of all the excess calories they put on during the festive period. Let’s see if we can help with this list; GRAPE FRUIT This fruit contains a huge percentage of water and fiber which speeds up your metabolism, makes you feel fuller (so you eat less) and helps burn a lot of calories. It even contains a particular type of fiber called pectin, which helps protect your body against heart disease. WATER MELON Watermelon is a very rich source of vitamin B which increases your energy levels and reduces your need to eat extra food. GREEN TEA Green tea contains an antioxidant called ECGC. This triggers the release of fat from your body cells, which the liver turns into energy. How cool is that? ORANGES Oranges are a source of herperidin, which lowers the levels of bad cholesterol in our bodies. TOMATOES Tomatoes contain an antioxidant known as lycopene which doesn’t just burn off calories but wards off various diseases and illnesses as well. They also contain chromium which helps your body to regulate blood sugar levels. CINNAMON Cinnamon is more than just a spice or an ingredient for baking; you can get weight loss benefits simply by adding more cinnamon to your diet (my mom takes it every day and it works wonders). It promotes weight loss by regulating your blood glucose levels. Excessive glucose is the major reason for weight gain.
