4 Kids, 6 Days, 2200 Miles | Sunshine Dad
I recently wrote a post on my Tips for Road Trippin' with a Toddler. Well, this past week I had a chance to put them to the test again. We packed up the car and headed north. We left around lunch time and drove straight through the night and arrived at our friends' home in Connecticut 23 hours later. Number 1 and number 1a on my list of most important road trip items are DVDs for the kids to watch and snacks for everyone. We had plenty of both. My wife also boiled some eggs for us to take along. That is a long standing road trip tradition with her family growing up. Here I am enjoying one of these hard boiled eggs. We stopped for a late picnic lunch and enjoyed the breathtaking views of the cars driving past the I-95 rest area. We were about 4 hours into the trip and everyone was glad to get out and stretch our legs. After we ate, we ran around and played a quick game of tag before getting back in the car.
