Blizzard Discusses Possibility of Overwatch Story Mode; Reveals Sombra’s Original Name | Power Up Gaming
Overwatch developer Blizzard is open to introducing a story mode and further PvE content to its popular hero shooter, it has confirmed. During a question-and-answer panel at BlizzCon 2016 at the Anaheim Convention Center this past weekend, lead designer Geoff Goodman confirmed that four-play co-operative brawl Junkenstein's Revenge – introduced during Overwatch's recent Halloween Terror event – was a test to gauge player interest in future PvE content. Questioned by an audience member on whether the game could see the introduction of a fully fledged story mode in the future, Goodman replied: "We're definitely open to it. A lot of us previously worked on World of Warcraft and we're PvE geeks ourselves, so we'd love to do some more PvE content with story and world-building involved; we've got to fit it in somewhere."
