Final Fantasy VII Remake Not Likely to Release in 2016 | Power Up Gaming
Since Square Enix's announcement that a remake of the PlayStation classic, Final Fantasy VII, is underway, those eagerly anticipating the game have certainly been riding a roller coaster of emotions. Between amazing gameplay trailers and news of episodic releases, there has been much to praise and much to criticize regarding the remake. And then, when Famitsu revealed that the first episode of Final Fantasy VII was complete, it seemed like a 2016 release would be within the realm of possibility. Not so, it seems. This week, Famitsu again came forward with more FFVII Remake news, but perhaps not the news fans wanted to hear. The game's producer, Yoshinori Kitase, had this to say regarding the release of the higly anticipated game: “I believe that this year will still be a year of preparations for Final Fantasy VII Remake. I’d like to create a new kind of value for the hardware that is the PlayStation 4 for our next announcement.” The latter portion of his statement is a bit confusing,
