Aquanox Deep Descent Descends onto Kickstarter | Power Up Gaming
Nordic Games and Digital Arrow have today launched a Kickstarter campaign for their long awaited underwater vehicle shooter, Aquanox Deep Descent. Described as a "re-imagining of both the gameplay and world of the original AquaNox-series", the game promises to take into account the scientific advances that have been made since the first title was released back in 2001. Like its predecessors, the game puts players in control a variety of customizable ships, where they must take part in submarine battles in the dystopian deep sea world of Aqua. Since being revealed via a tech demo at Gamescom 2014, Nordic Games has remained relatively quiet about the title prior to today's announcement. Initially set up to run on UE 3, development has now shifted to Unreal Engine 4, while assets from an unreleased THQ game, Deep Six, have also been acquired and re-purposed into Deep Descent's gameplay.
