ASBMB’s statement on NIH and NSF appropriations
The omnibus bill for fiscal 2014 lays out appropriations for the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation. While increases, as compared to post-sequestration FY13 funding levels, for both agencies is a step in the right direction, more needs to be done to restore the funding necessary for U.S. scientists to continue to be the leaders in research innovation. The ASBMB recently released its statement on this issue.
