DIY Glitter Wine Bottle ~ Guest Post |
Hello, My Life in Med School readers! I’m Kelsey and I blog over at CandidlyKelseyBlog.com! Today Jani has so graciously allowed me to take over her blog, so I thought I’d share a little DIY I tested out last week. I don’t know about you, but I’m a sucker for something hoarding things that have sentimental value to me, and am always trying to find ways to incorporate them into my décor. A few years ago I received a bottle of wine under some special circumstances, and have kept the bottle ever since. I finally took the plunge and decided to glitterize it, and thought I’d let you know how I did it. WHAT YOU’LL NEED: A clean, dry wine bottle Super fine glitter Mod Podge, or white school glue A small bowl Mix 1 part Mod Podge with part water, or 1 part white glue to 2 parts water. Pour mixture into wine bottle, and shake to coat the inside. Dump out excess. Add glitter into glue-coated bottle, cover bottle opening with hand, and shake to evenly coat inside. Add more glitter if necessary. Dump out excess. Allow to dry and repeat once more to get a thicker coating …
