What are they? Chronic fatigue is as it says - a persistent overwhelming fatigue beyond the normal tiredness that most of us experience most days. Fibromyalgia is a condition characterised by: General pain Fatigue Foggy brain Clumsiness Sensitivity to touch and sometimes sensitivity to light and sound Disrupted sleep. Why do I have this diagnosis? To begin with we would assume that you have been seen by your GP and that they have ruled out any medical causes for the symptoms. This commonly involves blood tests and sometimes a review with other specialists such as Rheumatologists or Neurologists. Once medical causes have been ruled out we know that there are common reasons as to why people develop and experience these symptoms.
