It’s incredible, it’s really good,” said Richard Fried of Clarks Summit. With the sun blazing overhead at Sno Cove Water Park in Scranton, this was the perfect place to get soaked and soak up some rays.“I’m a sun goddess,” laughed David Thorngren of Lake Ariel. The skyrocketing temperatures meant longer hours at the park.“With seeing the forecast for today we just figured we’ll stay open until eight and continue that throughout the entire summer,” said Nancy Kaminski, Director of Sales and Marketing at Sno Cove. With numerous attractions, some had a hard time remembering what they rode.“We went on that thing a lot, oh and the lazy river, raced on that,” said one boy.“I went on the toilet bowl, the wave pool, the slides and yeah,” said Mariana Leo of Dunmore. Many said they were just happy being with their families.“Just enjoying the day, enjoying the day here, having the kids enjoy themselves,” said Brian Dymek of Moscow.“It’s beautiful, out here with the family, my sons, my wife, enjoying the place. First time here, I love it,” said Thorngren.Park employees said they are in the process of relocating the Bumper Boat Pond closer to the other attractions. That should be ready by the end of June.
