Morning Storms Cause Headaches for Local Schools
DES MOINES, Iowa -- Heavy rain and strong winds Wednesday morning impacted much the metro as the headed off to school. The Adel – De Soto – Minburn School District was one of 1,000 homes and buildings without power. The district enforced a two hour delay on all of its schools. High school principal, Lee Grieble, also says the city’s boil advisory is having an effect on the elementary, middle and high school. The district had to place Culligan water tanks in hallways for students to use.
