Pufferbilly Days Homecoming for Boone Natives
BOONE, Iowa- The 38th addition of the annual Pufferbilly Days is underway now in Boone. The celebration is named after Boone's history with railroads. A Pufferbilly was an Austrailian steam locomotive used in coal mines there. Locomotives were first called Billy Goats, then later Puffing Billys.
