FRAUD CASE: Online School To Repay Students
Iowa’s Attorney General says an online school was defrauding the state’s students. Ashford University and its parent company have agreed to pay over $7 million in a settlement for violating Iowa's Consumer Fraud Act. During a three year investigation, the AG's office found the school performed a variety of fraudulent activities including misleading or lying to perspective students and using high-pressure sales tactics.
