Applebee’s to Pay Employee with Autism Who Didn’t Get Paid for a Year
PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — A Rhode Island man who worked at Applebee’s for nearly one year will finally receive a paycheck. Officials say Caleb Dyl has autism and was placed in the job by the social service agency Resources for Human Development. The 21-year-old began working as a prep-cook at the Middletown restaurant in August 2014. His parents say he never received a check.
