AGRIBUSINESS: Emerald Ash Borer Confirmed In Eight Counties
Emerald Ash Borer or EAB has been positively identified in two more counties in Iowa. Bremer and Wapello Counties have officially confirmed an EAB presence, bringing Iowa’s total up to eight infested counties. The Iowa Department of Agriculture released a statewide quarantine on firewood earlier this month. Most of the EAB infestations in the United States are started by people transporting infested wood however the adult beetle can fly from two to five miles.
