WEEKEND WALK: Ending Alzheimer’s
The Alzheimer's Association is hoping for 1,300 participants to take over the State Capitol lawn with purple for Saturday’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Registration for the walk starts at 8:00 a.m. and the walk begins at 10:00 a.m. This year's theme is, "Why I Walk." Participants are encouraged to write inspiring messages on their shirts and on a promise garden flower to tell why ending Alzheimer’s is important to them. Those flowers will be planted on the capital lawn.
