HOLIDAY PREPS: Teens Bring Cheer To Hospice
High school students helped spread holiday cheer to patients at the Iowa Health Hospice's Taylor House Sunday.Eighteen hospice volunteers hung lights and helped decorate the Taylor House inside and out. It’s in preparation for the annual tree lighting ceremony.Therapy dogs also made the trip. The pups visited the patients and families, helping to provide comfort during the most difficult of times. “Having the kids here and the dogs brightens everyone's spirits. It's good for the patients, it's good for the families, and it's good for the kids too,” says Susie Flood with Iowa Health Hospice.The teen hospice program has been active for three years.The tree lighting ceremony is scheduled for November 29th.
