Woman Sentenced in Fatal Dog Attack Case
NEWTON, Iowa -- A Prairie City woman has been sentenced for the dog mauling death of a four-year-old. Jena Wright, 26, was convicted of child endangerment resulting in serious injury, neglect of a dependent person, assault not causing bodily injury, and interference with official acts causing bodily injury. Police said Wright’s dog Brutis, attacked and killed four-year-old Jordyn Arndt while Wright was babysitting her in April of 2013. Arndt died from her injuries the day after the attack.
