Free Vaccines Offered to Stop Spread of Mumps at Univ. of Iowa
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The outbreak has affected more than 100 people in Iowa City since mid-July. The mumps is highly contagious and is spread through contaminated saliva, so the university is trying to put an end to it. Students are now packing the Memorial Union for their free vaccination. This will be the third vaccination for students.
