IMPROPER PAYMENT: Sorenson Facing Tough Accusations
State Senator Kent Sorenson is being accused of accepting improper payments while he worked for Michelle Bachmann's presidential campaign.A former campaign worker sent a letter to the Federal Election Commission saying Sorenson was paid $7,500 monthly to serve as Bachmann's state chairman.Former Bachmann Staffer Peter Waldron says the payments were made through a separate political action committee.Iowa law says state lawmakers can’t be paid to work on political campaigns.Sorenson says he did nothing wrong.He represents Madison and Warren Counties.
