CHERRY PIE: VEISHEA Tradition Begins
VEISHEA is one of Iowa State's greatest traditions and cherry pies are one of VEISHEA's greatest traditions. They went on sale Friday in Mackay Hall on the ISU campus. The bake sale tradition began back in the 1920s. This year, 75 students from the hotel, restaurant and institution management department are running the event. They say they started getting ready weeks ago, pressing dough and freezing pie crusts.
