Sergeant Bernell Edwards could get used to this type of crowd control. Edwards says, “So this is totally a different atmosphere than you would normally encounter as a police officer. Because everybody wants to be here and they`re out here enjoying themselves.” 2,000 plus people lined up outside East High School for the annual Jumpstart School Physicals. Students K-12 get their teeth checked, immunizations, and a backpack filled with school supplies. Community health educator Sarah Boese says, “It`s a place where they can get everything done at once. They don`t have to worry about co-pays or office visits so it`s a one stop shop.”
