Police arrest door-to-door solicitor accused of sexual assault in Boulder
BOULDER, Colo. -- The Boulder Police Department announced Friday it has arrested a suspect in connection with a case of a door-to-door solicitor who is accused of attacking a woman inside her home. Derick Robert Tappe, 26, was taken into custody early Friday in Evans and is being held in the Weld County Jail on $100,000 bond. He is facing felony charges of criminal attempt-sexual assault, first-degree burglary and unlawful sexual contact with force. Boulder Police say Tappe has criminal records in several other states.
