1-3″ of snow possible in metro Denver
DENVER -- There's another chill over northeast Colorado and light snow in Wyoming, and the threat of snow for the greater metro area tonight through Saturday morning. Typically with these "back door cold fronts" over northeast Colorado, we get cloudy skies and about one to 3 inches of snow. But don’t fret if you’re tired of shoveling. This air mass has very little moisture in it. In fact most satellite pictures this afternoon showed mostly fair skies over eastern Colorado, with just a few snow showers over the west facing slopes of the northern mountains.
