Hallmark card suggests 13-year-old want ‘bigger boobies, rich boyfriends’
It's the latest case of "What were they thinking?" And a company that says it isn't responsible for an irresponsible greeting card is having to answer for it.The shown in the photo above is intended to be given to 13-year-old girls. When a British mother got her hands on it, she snapped a photo for proof that it existed then tweeted it out to the rest of the world. The card reads: "You're 13 today! If you had a rich boyfriend he'd give you diamonds and rubies. Well, maybe next year you will -- when you’ve bigger boobies!"This mother's photo went viral over the weekend, and Hallmark quickly issued an apology.Officials from the company say the card is from the company Creative Publishing, and was printed before Hallmark purchased the outfit in 1998.Hallmarks says they’re working to track down the remaining copies of the card. They agree that it is offensive and say it has not been reprinted in 15 years.
