16-year-old faces multiple charges for collision that injured pregnant mom
THORNTON, Colo. -- A 16-year-old boy will face three counts of careless driving and one of unlawful termination of a pregnancy following a Feb. 18 collision that injured a pregnant woman and two other people. Leah Montgomery, 33, was walking with her mother and a toddler in a stroller near the intersection of Holly Street and East 138th Avenue in Thornton when a vehicle allegedly driven by the teen collided with another vehicle, which then struck the pedestrians. Montgomery, who was 22 weeks pregnant, lost her unborn baby.
