NWS confirms EF1 tornado touched down in east Denver, Aurora on Wednesday
DENVER -- The National Weather Service in Boulder confirmed Thursday that a tornado touched down in east Denver and west Aurora during Wednesday's vicious storm. The weather service said the tornado traveled 2.8 miles and had wind speeds up of 86 mph to 90 mph from 4:48 p.m. to 5:10 p.m., classifying it as an EF1 at its strongest point.
