Castle Rock voters narrowly expand open carry rights; group claims election void
CASTLE ROCK, Colo. -- Castle Rock voters appeared Thursday to have taken away the town manager's power to restrict the open carry of firearms in municipal buildings and parks. Referendum A, which asked whether the town manager should lose the authority to ban the open carrying of firearms in public buildings and parks, narrowly passed 50.8 percent to 49.2 percent (4,737 to 4,586).
