Suspects sought in violent carjacking
THORNTON, Colo. – Police say a driver was pulled from his car and pistol-whipped in an apparent carjacking in Thornton Friday morning. At about 7:45 a.m., officers responded to the Conoco gas station at 9201 Huron Street where they found the adult victim lying in the parking lot with severe head injuries, according to Thornton Police spokesman Matt Barnes. The victim was taken to a local hospital and was listed in serious condition Friday evening. Barnes said one suspect drove away in the victim’s 1994 Ford Bronco southbound on Huron Street, and then eastbound on 88th Avenue. A second suspect was seen in a navy blue Honda Accord following the stolen Bronco. The suspects are described only as Hispanic males, medium height and weight.
