Blind Englewood corgi regains eyesight after surgery
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Toby the 13-year old corgi can see again, thanks to successful cataract surgery at the Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital on South Jason Street. “Toby lost his sight about three years ago when he was hit with diabetes,” said owner Frank Burkeen. “His quality of life suffered so much when he was without his sight. He didn't bark at other dogs, he was always just laying down. It was like he had given up on living. But, now a few weeks after the operation to remove the film over his eyes, he’s back to barking and fussing like a real corgi!”
