Lindsey Vonn ties 35-year-old World Cup record
DENVER -- A year ago, Lindsey Vonn was a has-been. Today, she's a co-world record holder. With her win Sunday morning at the World Cup downhill race in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, Vonn tied Austrian Annemarie Moser-Proell’s 35-year-old record of 62 women’s Alpine skiing World Cup victories. Vonn’s first World Cup victory was in the downhill at Lake Louise, Canada, on Dec. 3, 2004.
