Neuvirth accepts PTO with Leafs | Leafs Hub
Early Monday morning it was announced that Michal Neuvirth will be coming to the Toronto Maple Leafs camp in an attempt to earn the spot as the backup goalie to Frederik Andersen. Neuvirth, 31 years old and former Philadelphia Flyers goalie, has battled injury problems over his career but will provide another option for Kyle Dubas and the Maple Leafs in an attempt to shore up the goaltending depth chart to give Andersen the required rest he needs during the season. With Michael Hutchinson, Garret Sparks, Joe Woll, Ian Scott, and Kasimir Kaskisuo and now Neurwirth, the Leafs will certainly have options. But are any of them good enough to carry the Leafs if disaster were to strike? More news soon. Coco Out. UPDATE: More Leafs goaltending news....this an article on Ian Scott and his desire to play Pro hockey this year.
