CHL: Carter Verhaeghe The Niagara Falls IceDogs entered the OHL playoffs as one of the hottest teams in all of Canadian Junior hockey. Having gone 18-5 over the last two months of the schedule, they came oh so close to catching the Ottawa 67s for 4th place, but had to settle for starting the playoffs on the road in the nations capital. So it was quite surprising to see them blasted in the first two games of the series, out-scored by a margin of 16-7. For his part Carter Verhaeghe had an assist, but was a -6, which also went against the grain with the strong way he had finished off the season. Heading home, the IceDogs knew they had to get their act together or it was going to be a disappointing early exit. Game 3 was on Mar. 30th and the home team did not disappoint their fans as they pounded the visitors 6-2, out-shooting them by a 2:1 margin.
