Maple Leafs Prospects Update – April 23 2015 | Leafs Hub
CHL: Carter Verhaeghe I'm sure the Niagara Falls IceDogs and Carter Verhaeghe knew they were in tough in the East Semi-Final against Oshawa, the Generals ended the season 30 points ahead of the IceDogs and had been one of the most dominant teams in the country all season long. So it was no surprise the Gens took the first two games of the series on home ice 5-3 and 6-1, registering over 40 shots in each game. The series really wasn't close, even the one game Niagara won was the same, as they beat Oshawa 7-3. After that, the Generals wrapped it up in 5 games with 7-4 and 4-2 wins in games 4 and 5. For his part, Carter Verhaeghe had a pretty good series scoring 4 times and adding a couple of helpers for 6 points. However, I'm sure he would gladly trade some of those points for a Round 2 series win. All-in-all, it was a solid third OHL season for Verhaeghe who will turn 20 in August and will hopefully make the jump to the Maple Leafs minor league system nest season. Regular Season Stats
