The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed 2017 first- round pick Timothy Liljegren to a three-year, entry- level contract. According to CapFriendly, if Liljegren makes the Leafs, he is expected to make $925, 000 per year and $70, 000 with the Toronto Marlies. He will become a restricted free- agent in 2020/21. Selected 17th overall at the draft in June, Liljegren was a major stand- out at the Leafs development camp. Liljegren was slated to be a top three pick in the draft, but his stock dropped as he battled mononucleosis for a couple of months.
