The Leafs will face off against their provincial rivals tonight, the Ottawa Senators, and attempt to win 3 in a row for the first time since late December, when they managed 5 consecutive wins. Win or lose, it will be nice to see the focus returned to the ice after Auston Matthews inked a new 5 year contract extension worth an annual average of $11.63M per season. That, combined with the words of Mitch Marners agent Darren Ferris, that were twisted by respected and beloved "journalist" Dave Feschuk, caused quite a stir around Leafs Nation. To get a break from all of the drama will be nice, and it will be all the sweeter if they can send the Senators home without a point. Making that all the more possible is the fact that William Nylander is showing signs of returning to his old productive ways. With 1 goal and 6 points in his past 5 games, he is starting to find chemistry with Nazem Kadri, and the pair are providing the team with the depth scoring they've been lacking of late.
