This will be the first game between both teams since they opened the season together back in October. In case you don't remember, the first game between these two teams was pretty memorable for Auston Matthews. The young franchise center started his NHL career in style, notching four goals and providing Leafs fans a big sign of hope in their on-going rebuild. Unfortunately for Matthews and the Leafs, the Senators won the game 5-4 in overtime with two goals from center Kyle Turris. Both teams are 40 games in and are exceeding the expectations they had going into this season.
