WILD (5-6-2) at MAPLE LEAFS (9-7-0) 7:30 p.m. SportsNET The Minnesota Wild roll into the centre of the hockey world tonight with a 5-6-2 record, back to back losses courtesy of the Hawks and Bruins, and a pin in their Auston Matthews voodoo doll that the entirety of Leafs Nation is hoping gets removed prior to puck drop. That's correct, Auston Matthews is slated to miss a game for the first time in his Maple Leafs career and I think I speak for everybody when I say two things. First, I hope it's his last missed game ever. Second… DAMMIT!!! The Toronto Maple Leafs have lost 5 of their previous 7 games and are now hoping to string together 2 wins for the first time since October 17th and 18th versus Washington and Detroit respectively. That seems like a very long time ago, as those two wins gave the Leafs a sparkling 6-1 record at the time. It's their play since then that has made the weeks drag on though. Some questionable efforts and bad breaks have lead to the number in the losses
