Photos by Adam Maresca Before heading to the first weekend of Coachella, Future Islands played an incredibly intimate (and sweaty) show at The Roxy this past Thursday night. Opening for them was Midnight Sister, an LA based group with a Kabuki theater inspired lead singer. It was the charismatic Sam Herring's birthday, which resulted in 500 people singing "Happy Birthday" to the vocalist who shared sweat with those in the front. The group went on to play hits from their earliest albums all the way up to their most recent release The Far Field.
