LSU Comeback Was Epic Battle
It was a comeback week for Louisiana football fans as LSU rebounded from a 20-0 deficit to defeat Auburn and the Saints held on to stuff out a Lions rally to beat Detroit. LSU dropped behind Auburn, but showed unbelievable heart as it rallied to win 27-23. The Tigers used big plays by DJ Chark and Russell Gage and an inspired defense that held Auburn to only two second half completions in the second half. The Saints jumped out to a commanding 45-10 lead over Detroit before giving up four second half touchdowns. Cam Jordan deflected and intercepted a pass for a late Saints touchdown to stuff out the Lions' rally. Meanwhile in baseball, the New York Yankees have each made comebacks by winning all home games in a series that will go to the seventh game to settle the American League pennant. Comebacks give fans hope that their team will never be out of a game.
