"Everybody talkin' about the Wolfman's confidence of love". With the release of the Wolfman movie, another wolfman is making a comeback - Wolfman Jack. But don't get confused... Wolfman Jack has nothing to do with the Wolfman movie, nor actually does Jack have anything to do with werewolves (aside from the fact that he sometimes howled on air (literally) and was very hairy). Wolfman Jack was actually a very popular DJ who spun records and did alot of "howling" into a radio mic in the 1960s and 1970s. His real name was Robert Weston Smith, and he actually became an inspiration in many songs, and even appeared in the George Lucas movie American Graffiti. Although he died in 1995, someone named "wolfwoman" will be reairing some of his original programming. The Guess Who did a song honoring Wolfman Jack called "Clap for the Wolfman" which was a big hit in 1974. Wolfman Jack is featured and does some talking in parts of it... he's the one with the gravelly voice. Clap for the Wolfman ...
