What Hypnosis is? Hypnosis is similar to day-dreaming. It is a very normal state for the mind. We go into trance all the time whilst our minds process information. It is during this time that the body can repair itself. Hypnotherapy mimics this process. Usually clients can hear what is being said, while being in a very calm and relaxed state. It is more like a guided day-dream. It brings together our conscious and subconscious minds into a trance state. It is a safe, powerful technique that creates a deeply relaxed state of the body and mind. What Hypnosis is not? Hypnotherapy is not the same as stage hypnosis, you are in full control of all you say and do. Unlike the way Hypnosis can be portrayed in the media and in films or in stage shows, it does not involve the therapist controlling your mind!!
